The value of exports in the first half of July increased by 16% as compared to the same period in 2011. Main reasons are the rising prices of commodities. The most successful export products were soy beans, beef, wood and rice. 31% of exports had regional destinations within Latin America, 23% was destined for the free trade zones in Uruguay itself and 21% went to Asia.
